ABOUT ME
Currently, I serve as the Head of Department for Guidance and Counselling at Andiwo Mixed Secondary School. In this role, I have established a comprehensive counselling programme that benefits over 1,000 students annually and implemented a peer counselling initiative that has significantly improved the school climate and student well-being. My commitment to education extends beyond the classroom, as I actively engage in mental health awareness campaigns and environmental conservation efforts.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am the Coordinator for the Kenya Women Teachers Association (KEWOTA) in Homabay County. Through this role, I have organised workshops and training sessions for over 500 women teachers, launched a microfinance programme, and represented women teachers in county education forums.
My professional journey also includes a tenure as a Finance Officer at Britam in Nairobi, where I developed advanced financial reporting systems and conducted in-depth financial analysis. I have also served as the Treasurer for the Homabay County Civil Society Network, where I implemented robust financial management systems and led financial literacy training sessions.
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education at Tom Mboya University College to further enhance my educational expertise. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Education Arts in Business Studies and Mathematics from Maseno University.
